If you want that book, send a mounted unit, like a flier, and equip them with Emblem Sigurd or Emblem Lyn. However, they’ll mostly do nothing except run from you. The unit holding it is a thief, so they’re very quick, can strike at close or distant range, and you likely won’t double up on hits to them. The Speed Book, though, is a valuable treasure should you wish to pursue it. None of those enemies will move or come for you unless you approach them either, so no need to worry about them coming to Marth’s aid. Arguably there aren’t many that are worth the effort, but if you want them, be sure to pack someone with Warp and Rescue so you don’t have to go through an entire army just to get to the room. If you want the treasures in the room that’s right next to you, the chests from left to right contain Elixer, Speed tonic, Silver Greataxe, and Antitoxin. You’ll want to get the jump on Marth and try to hit him first as much as possible, as Perceptive++ can make it difficult to hit him on counterattacks. Make sure everyone is ready, though, as the instant you break down that door, all the enemies inside will make a beeline for you - Marth included. Gather everyone up to the right and be sure to have someone with Destroy or Emblem Ike break down the durable door and storm Marth’s enclosure. The main strategy here is the battle can be over fairly quickly if you don’t pursue treasures. Just to the south and left of you is an enemy unit carrying a Speed Book you can gain by defeating them. To the north and west of you are a bevy of enemies all leading to a room containing four treasure chests. He is joined by a wall of several troops, including a pair that have Revival Beads. Marth is behind a destructible door to your right. You start in the lower-center part of the map. In addition, you also now should have every single unit that is recruitable in the main story as well, giving you a wealth of options to choose from for strategies. At the point in the story the mission unlocks, you will have access to all the Emblem Rings the main story gives you.
